Job Description
Remote licensed health insurance advisor conducting scheduled phone and virtual consultations. Reviewing plan options, explaining coverage, and assisting members with compliant enrollment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct scheduled phone or virtual health insurance advisements
- Review members’ healthcare needs, budget, eligibility, and available plan options
- Explain coverage, benefits, premiums, and limitations clearly
- Help members make informed decisions and assist with enrollment when applicable
- Document each advisement accurately
- Complete necessary follow-up after advisements
- Attend scheduled appointments on time
- Communicate professionally with members and partner teams
- Follow applicable carrier, state, federal, privacy, and compliance requirements
- Complete required training and product updates
Requirements:
- Active Health Insurance Producer License
- Active licenses in a minimum of 5 states
- Previous health insurance experience, including consultations with consumers by phone or virtually
- Strong grasp of health insurance terminology and enrollment processes
- Ability to explain coverage clearly and compliantly
- Dependability with scheduled appointments
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Reliable computer, high-speed internet, and a quiet, professional workspace
- Ability to work as a 1099 independent contractor
- Must comply with carrier, state, federal, privacy, and compliance requirements
- Candidates with 10–12+ active state licenses will be prioritized
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a preferred qualification
- Experience with Individual & Family Plan, ACA/Marketplace, Medicare, private insurance, or short-term medical is preferred
- Remote insurance or telesales experience is preferred
