Responsibilities:

  • Label prompts as benign, dual-use, or adversarial
  • Evaluate model responses against a defined policy standard
  • Judge whether responses handled technical requests correctly
  • Write reference answers and explain the technical reasoning
  • Red-team frontier AI models for misuse potential in radiological safety scenarios
  • Produce written rationales that non-specialists can follow
  • Read and write about field-specific misuse scenarios for sustained periods

Requirements:

  • Background as an operational health physicist at a DOE site, national laboratory, or reactor facility, including survey, assay, and contamination control
  • Experience as an internal dosimetry or bioassay specialist, including intake assessment, dose reconstruction, and committed dose
  • Experience in decommissioning and D&D health physics, including characterisation surveys, MARSSIM, and release criteria
  • Experience in accelerator or reactor health physics, including activation products, neutron fields, and shielding design and verification
  • Experience with dose planning for high-hazard work, including RWP development, ALARA reviews, and hot-cell and glovebox operations
  • Ability to distinguish routine professional questions from requests probing for misuse
  • Strong writing skills and ability to provide written rationales understandable to non-specialists
  • Prior technical writing, published research, or expert witness experience is a strong signal
  • Red-teaming experience ideally
  • Must not use classified or export-controlled information, NDA-covered information, or information subject to prepublication review obligations
