Job Description
Remote HVAC Project Manager delivering commercial mechanical construction projects for Willdan Energy Solutions. Managing schedules, budgets, procurement, subcontractors, clients, and project closeout.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver HVAC projects from contract award through completion
- Manage project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, customer relationships, and overall project performance
- Manage HVAC projects from generation through closeout
- Review scopes of work, contracts, and equipment requirements
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, equipment manufacturers, and field teams
- Monitor project costs, labor, materials, equipment, and timing
- Review and approve material and equipment quotes, submittals, change orders, and purchase orders
- Coordinate equipment procurement and delivery
- Conduct project meetings and provide status updates to clients
- Identify project risks, delays, scope gaps, and cost impacts; develop corrective action plans
- Track project progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Maintain customer relationships and address project issues professionally and promptly
Requirements:
- 3+ years of HVAC, mechanical construction, or related project management experience
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, mechanical construction, and installation practices
- Understanding of project scheduling, cost control, change-order management, and construction processes
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Experience with construction/project-management software is preferred
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
