Job Description
Finance expert creating complex valuation, modeling, and diligence scenarios for Mercor. Authoring and evaluating tasks that train frontier AI systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design realistic, complex finance scenarios based on professional practice
- Build supporting materials including models, memos, filings, and data
- Author finance tasks used to train AI agents
- Evaluate finance tasks used to train AI agents
- Construct complicated problems rather than process high volumes
- Own analysis and decisions such as live-deal or investment models, diligence, valuations, recommendations, forecasts, reporting cycles, financings, and reliance memos
- Work on projects focused on training and enhancing AI systems
- Collaborate with leading AI researchers
Requirements:
- 3+ years of substantive, recent, hands-on finance experience at a recognized institution
- Currently working in the finance field
- Direct experience with Excel/financial modeling
- Experience with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, data rooms, ERP/consolidation systems, or quant/risk platforms where relevant
- Commitment of at least 10 hours per week
- Experience in investment banking and M&A, private equity/private credit, corporate finance/FP&A, equity or credit research, asset or wealth management, quantitative finance, risk management, treasury, capital markets, corporate development, technical accounting, real estate, infrastructure, project finance, or regulatory/compliance finance
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) and/or recognized credential (CFA, CPA, FRM, actuarial designation) preferred, not required
- Must not require H1-B or STEM OPT support
