Job Description
Law Clerk providing in-house legal experience in workers compensation division at BHHC. Engaging with senior leadership and gaining hands-on exposure during summer break and possibly part-time during the school year.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Director of Corporate Counsel with legal research, analysis, and document review.
- Assist Director of Corporate Counsel in the preparation of memoranda, position statements, contracts and agreements, including master services, licensing, professional services, and vendor agreements.
- Special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Strong legal research and writing skills, including proficient use of LEXIS and/or Westlaw.
- Proficient in Microsoft word processing software, Microsoft spreadsheet software, and able to quickly master and demonstrate proficiency with applicable databases, systems, and vendor software programs.
- Exceptional academic credentials.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with keen attention to detail.
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Able to take direction and effectively partner with legal and non-legal personnel.
- Able to synthesize complex and diverse information and identify items requiring additional information or action.
