Job Description

Law Clerk providing in-house legal experience in workers compensation division at BHHC. Engaging with senior leadership and gaining hands-on exposure during summer break and possibly part-time during the school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Director of Corporate Counsel with legal research, analysis, and document review.
  • Assist Director of Corporate Counsel in the preparation of memoranda, position statements, contracts and agreements, including master services, licensing, professional services, and vendor agreements.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills, including proficient use of LEXIS and/or Westlaw.
  • Proficient in Microsoft word processing software, Microsoft spreadsheet software, and able to quickly master and demonstrate proficiency with applicable databases, systems, and vendor software programs.
  • Exceptional academic credentials.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Able to take direction and effectively partner with legal and non-legal personnel.
  • Able to synthesize complex and diverse information and identify items requiring additional information or action.
