Job Description
Lead Counsel, IP managing global IP strategy across hardware and software products at Eight Sleep. Collaborating with C-suite and managing external legal counsel for critical IP efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute Eight Sleep’s global IP strategy
- Manage preparation, filing, and prosecution of patent and trademark applications
- Conduct FTO, prior art, and clearance analyses
- Oversee IP due diligence for strategic partnerships
- Provide practical legal advice on IP matters
- Support global brand protection and oversee broader legal issues
Requirements:
- J.D. degree
- Active membership in at least one US state bar
- 5-10 years of legal experience as a practicing attorney
- Strong experience with patent prosecution and global IP strategy
- Experience with commercial agreements and partnerships
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience managing outside counsel
