Job Description
Assistant General Counsel at Monogram Health, Inc. negotiating and drafting contracts related to value-based care for complex patients with chronic conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiating and drafting agreements and contracts on behalf of the company, including commercial vendor contracts, client agreements, leases and technology licenses
- Offering counsel on a variety of legal and compliance issues, including healthcare regulatory matters (especially privacy issues)
- Collaborating with senior executives and departments within the company on important strategic initiatives
- Researching and anticipating unique legal and healthcare regulatory/compliance issues that could impact the company
- Using independent judgement to escalate important legal and compliance issues to the company's governing body
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in good standing
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Strong negotiating skills with both legal and financial/ commercial issues
- Managed care experience is required, in particular negotiation of value-based care agreements, minimum 1-2 years of experience
- General knowledge of healthcare regulatory law, in particular fraud and abuse laws, HIPAA and privacy matters, Medicare Advantage and Medicaid obligations, and corporate practice of medicine
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships within the organization across all businesses
