Job Description
Expert Team Lead guiding AI Tutors producing high-quality training data and evaluations for SpaceXAI’s AI models. Managing quality, coaching, labeling operations, and process improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of AI Tutors responsible for delivering training data and evaluations for SpaceXAI models
- Own end-to-end quality and delivery for assigned Human Data projects
- Personally review domain work for accuracy, consistency, guideline adherence, and quality at scale
- Lead, coach, and performance-manage AI Tutors, including reviews, records, action plans, shadow sessions, and continuous improvement
- Oversee and participate in labeling and reviewing tasks
- Manage taxonomies and quality assurance processes
- Identify operational bottlenecks, implement process improvements, and track KPIs through dashboards
- Build, update, and deliver training materials, practice tasks, and certification benchmarks
- Manage certifications and workforce adjustments
- Collaborate with Human Data Managers, Team Leads, and Engineering on labeling strategies and requirements
- Coach and develop talent while supporting accountability, performance culture, and disciplinary actions
- Document outcomes and report project status, risks, and results
- Represent tutors and foster collaboration across the Human Data organization
Requirements:
- 1+ years of hands-on experience in data labeling, annotation, AI training/evaluation, content quality, or similar operational domains
- Professional experience building scalable, high-performance technology applications
- Experience with data quality metrics, annotation processes, and guideline-driven workflows
- Basic understanding of AI and machine learning concepts and how high-quality training data impacts model performance
- Experience with performance management, coaching, training program development, and certification frameworks
- Candidates must be based in one of the listed countries where SpaceXAI has a physical office; remote work is also possible
- Preferred: experience leading small teams in data labeling, annotation, or related operations
- Preferred: proficiency in data analysis and associated tools; SQL is a plus
- Preferred: experience managing mixed employment types or distributed teams
- Preferred: specialty or strong domain expertise in Finance, STEM, Coding/Software Engineering, or other technical fields
