Job Description
Mongolian linguist localizing LILT’s AI language technology, software interfaces, marketing campaigns, and e-commerce content. Ensuring culturally accurate, high-quality content for Mongolian users.
Responsibilities:
- Adapt complex software interfaces and support documentation for native Mongolian users
- Localize global campaigns and brand voices for the Mongolian market
- Localize product and e-commerce copy, product listings, and UI listings
- Apply regional naming logic and formatting standards
- Uphold quality benchmarks and brand identity
- Coordinate with production and quality leads to deliver projects on schedule and within client specifications
- Complete onboarding and payment setup after selection and testing
Requirements:
- Native-level proficiency in Mongolian
- A graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR a graduate qualification in another field plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR 5 years of full-time professional translation experience
- Ability to follow terminology and reference materials precisely
- Proven professional experience in translation and localization within marketing, UI/software, or e-commerce content
- Experience with app or platform localization preferred
- Reliable availability and commitment; most tasks require a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week
- CV must be submitted in English
- Must complete a domain-specific test if required
- Cannot be engaged in regions subject to international embargo or sanctions
- Responsible for own tax obligations as a 1099 contractor
