Job Description
Field Marketing Specialist growing GT’s kombucha brand through LA-area events, sampling, and retail activations. Managing Brand Ambassadors and strengthening consumer engagement and market growth.
Responsibilities:
- Drive brand awareness, consumer trial, and market share growth within the assigned market
- Recruit, train, support, and coach Brand Ambassadors
- Oversee Brand Ambassador activations driving product trial, education, and sales
- Support local market strategy with the Field Marketing Manager
- Execute sampling initiatives, retail activations, and pop-ups
- Ensure product displays, merchandising, and educational materials meet brand standards
- Identify and lead local events that increase brand awareness and market presence
- Represent the brand and create connections with consumers
- Build relationships with retail partners and support distribution, visibility, and in-store execution
- Enhance shelf presence, point-of-sale materials, and merchandising
- Partner with Sales on key accounts and sell-through programming
- Monitor local market activity and competition
- Support collegiate sampling programs and campus ambassadors
- Plan event logistics, including product, assets, staffing, and performance goals
- Oversee inventory, storage, marketing assets, equipment, cold storage, and company vehicles
- Ensure proper vehicle use, care, safety training, and compliance
- Track, analyze, and report activation performance, sales impact, consumer feedback, and learnings
- Develop post-event recaps with actionable insights
- Gather and synthesize consumer and market insights
- Manage budgets, expenses, receipts, and reports
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Logistics, and cross-functional teams
- Support continuous program improvement and perform other assigned duties
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related major (preferred)
- 4+ years of job-related experience
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and be able to drive a motor vehicle
- Willing to travel locally 40-60% of the time, inclusive of nights and weekends
- Able to lift 50lbs to aid event set-up
- Demonstrated experience planning and executing events, retail activations, and local marketing campaigns, including logistics coordination and on-site execution
- Experience recruiting, hiring, and onboarding part-time or full-time team members (e.g., brand ambassadors), with the ability to support training and performance expectations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with event tracking, reporting, or CRM tools is a plus
- Prior experience in the CPG food and/or beverage industry strongly preferred, with an understanding of retail environments and consumer engagement
- Strong networking and community-building skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, field-based environment with minimal supervision
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong time management and prioritization skills
- Creative thinker able to develop engaging activations, solve problems independently, and adapt quickly
- Proven ability to manage high-pressure situations with professionalism, adaptability, and sound judgment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute across various initiatives simultaneously
- Passion for kombucha and interest in raw, organic, and functional foods
