Job Description
Romanian linguist translating and reviewing regulated U.S. healthcare content for LILT’s AI language platform. Applying Life Sciences expertise to patient communications, clinical documentation, and compliance workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Adapt and validate target text to meet U.S. healthcare compliance standards
- Translate and review medical and Life Sciences content, including patient communications, clinical documentation, and healthcare terminology
- Apply Life Sciences expertise across healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and clinical settings
- Work within strict quality environments and adhere to ISO 17100 quality standards
- Complete secure smartphone-based login and identity verification
- Follow terminology and reference materials precisely
- Provide project lists or references highlighting prior work in regulated medical markets
- Confirm familiarity with relevant U.S. healthcare regulations and patient privacy standards
- Complete a domain-specific translation or review assessment
- Deliver accepted tasks with high quality and on-time delivery
Requirements:
- Native-level proficiency in Romanian
- Fluency in English
- Must be physically located in the United States
- Must have access to a smartphone for secure identity verification
- Graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR graduate qualification in another field plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR 5 years of full-time professional translation experience
- Ability to follow terminology and reference materials precisely
- Professional translation and localization experience within Medical/Life Sciences domains
- Demonstrable experience translating for healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or clinical settings
- Familiarity with U.S. healthcare regulations and patient privacy standards
- Ability to adhere to ISO 17100 quality standards
- Reliable availability and commitment; most tasks require a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week
- As a 1099 contractor, responsibility for own tax obligations
