Job Description
Valuation & Advisory Manager at Brillian using expertise to redefine business valuation and advisory practices. Join a team helping small to medium sized business owners meet their financial goals.
Responsibilities:
- Embed your expertise within our product and organization
- Work with our product and engineering teams to refine our solutions to meet the valuation, business analysis and strategic guidance needs of small to medium sized business owners
- You’ll help with things like: Valuations for a range of purposes and produced using all three standardized approaches
- Streamlining how we intake, cleanup and adjust raw data
- Review, refine, and sign-off on valuations
- Refine operating efficiencies, benchmarks and personalized guidance to help an owner achieve their goals
- Ensure all work is standards-compliant
- Embed your expertise within and help perfect our expert advisory model to extend upmarket analysis and guidance to the Fortune 5 Million
- Engage on the review and presentation of Brillian’s valuation and optimization reports to clients
- Present findings to business owners and financial advisors
- Contribute to special projects as they arise and are appropriate
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution (Master's degree or MBA a plus)
- Active CPA license required
- One or more of the following valuation credentials strongly preferred CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst), ABV (Accredited in Business Valuation), ASA (Accredited Senior Appraiser), or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)
- 3–8 years of business valuation or strategic business accounting experience, including leading engagements, within a public accounting firm, dedicated valuation firm, or advisory practice
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; PowerPoint fluency expected
- Solid understanding of IRC sections relevant to valuation (e.g. 59-60)
- Familiarity with USPAP standards and AICPA VS Section 100
