Job Description
Marketing and Communications Specialist advancing Centering group healthcare through content, campaigns, media relations, and stakeholder communications. Supporting CHI’s mission to transform healthcare and improve health outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Create, edit, proofread, and publish internal and external marketing and communications content across multiple channels
- Copyedit and proofread organizational deliverables for accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment
- Publish, update, and maintain website content, including quick website edits and content updates
- Support partner-, donor-, participant-, and stakeholder-facing marketing and communications materials
- Draft, produce, schedule, and manage social media content across organizational platforms
- Support paid and organic digital marketing campaigns and content distribution
- Draft, publish, and schedule internal and external email communications and marketing campaigns
- Monitor, track, and report on media coverage and public relations activities
- Build, maintain, and update media contact lists and outreach databases
- Draft media pitches, press materials, and other public relations content
- Conduct research supporting media relations, communications strategies, and marketing campaigns
- Create and update marketing assets, including graphics, social media visuals, one-pagers, and simple layouts
- Support photo and video editing for campaigns, storytelling initiatives, and promotional content
- Assist with internal communications, including newsletters, staff updates, and organizational announcements
- Support communications planning and coordination for meetings, special initiatives, organization-wide events, and town halls
- Collect, track, and analyze marketing and communications data for KPI reporting, performance measurement, and dashboard maintenance
- Coordinate ordering, production, and distribution of marketing materials, printed collateral, and promotional items
- Support marketing and communications activities related to organizational events and campaigns
- Provide administrative support for marketing and communications projects and activities
- Report to the Director of Communications
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in Marketing or related fields
- Demonstrated experience managing social media accounts for a business or organization
- Strong content development and storytelling skills, with experience creating engaging marketing, communications, and public relations materials
- Experience managing email marketing platforms, such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar tools, including email creation, scheduling, list management, and performance tracking
- Strong strategic and analytical skills to interpret data and drive informed decisions
- Experience working cross-functionally across an organization to support project execution
- Highly organized, with strong project management and operational discipline
- Familiarity with website management preferred
- Experience with graphic design and video editing using platforms such as Canva preferred
- Prior healthcare experience preferred
- Outstanding interpersonal, teamwork, and collaboration skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software (Monday.com or equivalent)
- Demonstrated ability to maintain the highest ethical standards, including confidentiality and handling sensitive situations and information with the utmost discretion and diplomacy
- Previous work submission, such as a portfolio, writing sample, or relevant work sample, is highly preferable
- At least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccination prior to the start date and full vaccination within 30 days, unless approved for an exemption
- Ability to meet deadlines, deliver high-quality work independently, and use standard office equipment and technology
