Job Description
Music production expert evaluating Hindi and English generative music AI for Mercor. Rating musicality, vocals, lyrics, genres, and production quality for leading AI labs.
Responsibilities:
- Compare AI-generated songs head-to-head on musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality
- Label songs by genre, structure, instruments, vocals, and other musical characteristics
- Review AI-generated lyrics and vocals against reference material for quality and accuracy
- Work on projects training and enhancing AI systems
- Collaborate with leading researchers
- Complete the work on your own schedule
- Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance
Requirements:
- Native or near-native proficiency in Hindi
- Ability to follow detailed written instructions in English
- 2+ years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or mixing engineer
- Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening
- Formal training in music performance, theory, or composition (nice to have)
- Credited or commercially released production, engineering, or mixing work (nice to have)
- Broad familiarity with contemporary Hindi genres, sub-genres, and artists (nice to have)
- Must complete the Bilingual Competency Interview in Hindi
- Unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates
