Job Description
Associate Director of Development leading donor cultivation for Reach Out and Read. Engaging high-capacity donors to support children's literacy and health initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the qualification and cultivation of individual donors who give between $1,000 and $25,000
- Establish and manage a portfolio of qualified donors and build strong relationships
- Develop personalized engagement strategies to inspire significant support for our mission
- Create engagement plans for donors and prospects with revenue projections
- Record donor information in the database promptly
- Assist in developing and supporting fundraising strategies, campaigns, and best practices
Requirements:
- At least seven years of successful experience in donor-facing fundraising
- Demonstrable experience soliciting and closing gifts of 5 figures or more
- Ability to engage, influence, and inspire donors and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
- Strong track record of soliciting and securing major gifts
- Highly self-motivated, proactive, and capable of independently driving activities
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Experience using data and analytics to inform donor cultivation strategies
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Experience using donor management systems, with a preference for Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
