Job Description
Network Solution Architect designing secure, scalable IT solutions for Blue Mantis, an IT services provider. Leading discovery, presales architecture, proposals, and delivery alignment for US-based clients.
Responsibilities:
- Translate client needs into actionable, scalable IT service solutions
- Work alongside sales teams to understand customer business goals and challenges
- Lead client discovery sessions to identify business challenges, technical requirements, and constraints
- Develop secure, scalable solution designs and cross-practice architectures
- Perform technical qualification of client environments to validate solution fit
- Present solution architectures aligned with technical requirements and business outcomes
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to refine scope, goals, and deliverables
- Serve as subject matter expert for cloud services, cybersecurity, data center infrastructure, networking, and endpoints
- Develop cost models and level-of-effort estimates, including licensing, partner solutions, and delivery requirements
- Estimate resources, costs, and timelines for proposed solutions
- Prepare and deliver technical pitches, proposals, and Statements of Work
- Support RFP responses through solution design, technical answers, and delivery-resource alignment
- Document solution architectures and ensure consistency across proposals and implementations
- Support account executives in technical presentations and demonstrations
- Partner with delivery teams to validate scope, resource requirements, and feasibility
- Conduct internal handoffs to delivery and clarify assumptions
- Contribute reusable assets and solution blueprints to presales
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices
- Provide mentorship and training to junior presales and solutions team members
- Participate in reviews, debriefings, and retrospectives to improve presales processes and solution delivery
Requirements:
- Strong background in enterprise IT architecture across cloud, networking, storage, virtualization, cybersecurity, unified communications, and data management
- Proficiency designing multi-practice solutions across multiple technology domains
- Familiarity with cost modeling, licensing, and delivery resource planning
- In-depth understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models
- In-depth understanding of enterprise networking and security technologies
- Familiarity with GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2, and other regulatory/compliance frameworks
- Experience designing multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments
- Familiarity with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible
- Experience designing solution architectures for industries such as financial services, healthcare, and retail
- Strong client-facing presentation and communication skills
- Ability to align technical solutions with business challenges and value drivers
- Proven experience supporting presales engagements and proposal development
- Excellent problem-solving and creative solution-design abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Experience with pipeline management and CRM tools
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Relevant industry certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, Cisco CCIE, VMware VCP, or TOGAF
- 5–7+ years in IT solution design, architecture, or technical presales roles
- Previous MSP or systems integrator experience is highly desirable
- ITIL or other service-management certification is a plus
