Job Description
Part-time Occupational Therapist engaging with cancer survivors in a virtual environment. Developing treatment plans and facilitating evaluations to improve patients' quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Perform initial and ongoing evaluations
- Develop a Plan of Treatment for each patient based on initial and ongoing evaluations
- Document patient progress according to approved medical documentation and facility documentation procedures
- Evaluate mobility, strength, and current level of patient function while setting goals to improve in these areas
Requirements:
- Proven record of matching patient needs to home treatment plans
- Strong experience administering a wide range of occupational therapy techniques via telemedicine
- Prior experience in oncology or palliative care
- Experience assisting and directing treatments given by aides, technicians, and assistants
- Minimum 5+ years of experience providing occupational therapy to patients and familiarity with telemedicine-based practice
- Current licensure to practice as an OT; (state licensures will be reimbursed)
- Understanding of HIPAA, HITECH, and patient confidentiality
