Job Description
Property and casualty insurance agent serving Desjardins members and clients across Quebec. Selling coverage, preparing quotes, issuing contracts, and developing client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Serve members and clients, assess their needs, promote insurance products and help members and clients choose coverage
- Prepare quotes and issue insurance contracts
- Follow up on files, analyze renewals requiring special underwriting, and correct contracts as needed
- Respond to information requests and amend contracts to ensure client satisfaction and retention
- Develop business partnerships to generate referrals
- Prospect for, solicit, and develop and maintain business relationships with members and clients
- Sell general insurance products and services through multiple distribution channels
- Promote and sell property and casualty coverage to individual clients
- Analyze member/client needs and develop custom solutions
- Assist current and potential members and clients
- Represent the organization and help negotiate agreements with clients
Requirements:
- College diploma in a related field
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Knowledge of French is required
- Ability to learn quickly and use technology effectively
- Analytical skills and discipline-specific knowledge
- Persuasive skills to help clients choose the right coverage
- Tech savvy
