Job Description
Patient Access Specialist verifying insurance eligibility and handling patient referrals for home health and hospice services. Collaborating with internal teams for a smooth admission process.
Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for patients and referral sources
- Verify patient registration and confirm benefit coverage
- Collect necessary documentation and communicate with third party payers
- Ensure prior authorization for medical services is completed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of two years of experience in a medical setting required
- Understanding of medical terminology, insurance background, office equipment and computers is required
