Job Description

Patient Access Specialist verifying insurance eligibility and handling patient referrals for home health and hospice services. Collaborating with internal teams for a smooth admission process.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contact for patients and referral sources
  • Verify patient registration and confirm benefit coverage
  • Collect necessary documentation and communicate with third party payers
  • Ensure prior authorization for medical services is completed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a medical setting required
  • Understanding of medical terminology, insurance background, office equipment and computers is required
