Job Description
Payroll Specialist at OneDigital responsible for managing payroll and compliance across multiple states. Collaborating with HR and finance for system implementations and audits.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for independently managing multi-state payroll and related activities including computation of wage and overtime payments
- Responsible for all aspects of payroll, with activities that include payroll processing, tax set up and compliance, payroll configuration within HRIS, reporting, and compliance auditing
- Will play a crucial role in system conversions and implementations related to payroll and time and attendance
- Coordinate 401(k) contribution/HSA submission processes
- Audit and review benefit deductions
- Prepare manual payments when required
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local wage and hour laws
- Review timesheets and address any discrepancies
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to address identified issues
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of payroll experience in a dedicated payroll function, with multiple states/jurisdictions
- Working knowledge of payroll processing, taxes, compliance, and auditing
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and diagnose problems
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Experience in providing quality customer service required
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship.
