Job Description

Pediatric Hospital Sales Specialist promoting Abbott’s science-based nutrition products across Charlotte hospitals. Managing hospital accounts, clinical product education, contracting, and territory growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote, manage, and grow Abbott Nutritional products in hospital settings
  • Develop and support territory sales goals in major hospital systems for Similac, Neosure, and Human Milk Fortifier HPCL
  • Conduct hospital negotiations and contracting
  • Work with hospital supply chain
  • Deliver product, clinical study, protocol, and guideline information in a selling environment
  • Support new product launches
  • Navigate hospital departments including NICU, Pediatrics, Pharmacies, Purchasing, PICU, Nurseries, and Nursing units
  • Work effectively with Dietitians, Physicians, and Nurses
  • Organize time and perform administrative tasks
  • Manage budgets
  • Operate independently with initiative and autonomy
  • Host evening educational opportunities for Healthcare Professionals 1–2 nights per quarter
  • Cover the greater Charlotte, NC territory with daily travel and 5–10% overnight travel for regional/national meetings and training

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Ideal candidate will be a NICU Registered Dietitian or NICU Registered Nurse
  • Strong clinical/medical sales experience in a hospital setting
  • Experience working with Supply Chain and Health Care Professionals
  • Comprehensive knowledge of products, clinical studies, protocols, and guidelines
  • Understanding of hospital department hierarchy, including NICU, Pediatrics, Pharmacies, Purchasing, PICU, Nurseries, and Nursing units
  • Ability to work effectively with Dietitians, Physicians, and Nurses
  • Effective administrative and organizational skills
  • Budget management ability
  • Ability to function independently with a high degree of initiative, independence, and autonomy
  • Self-motivated approach to achieving short- and long-term goals
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs
  • Must be based out of Charlotte, NC; local candidates only
  • Willingness and ability to travel daily and 5–10% overnight for regional/national meetings and trainings
  • No relocation offered
