Job Description
Regional sales leader managing DePuy Synthes orthopaedic and trauma sales across the Carolinas. Recruiting and developing field teams, expanding surgeon accounts, and delivering regional growth and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall management of DePuy Synthes sales strategies, activities, operations, and budgets within the assigned geographic area
- Implement selling strategies and strategic sales plans to achieve Trauma sales goals and objectives
- Recruit, hire, and retain qualified sales professionals across the region
- Provide performance management, mentorship, and career development for the sales team
- Work with Consultants to set and achieve territory objectives while driving patient care and customer satisfaction
- Acquire new accounts and surgeon relationships and help penetrate existing accounts with new technologies
- Analyze healthcare market dynamics, industry trends, customer segmentation, customer data, and buying processes
- Manage a product portfolio and sales, growth, income, profitability, asset management, and budget targets
- Manage regional business expenses with fiscal responsibility
- Establish relationships with key surgeons, accounts, and associations to identify opportunities and drive collaboration
- Participate in compliance-program activities and support ethics, integrity, compliance, training, and related initiatives
- Follow applicable laws, regulations, healthcare compliance policies, and Johnson & Johnson’s Business Code of Conduct
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent in an applicable field such as Business, Marketing, or Finance is required
- MBA preferred
- At least 8 years of relevant business and/or leadership experience required
- Minimum 2 years of management experience, coaching, or mentoring others
- Participation in a Sales Leadership Development Program preferred
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including leading through change
- Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills
- Good organizational skills and ability to deliver impactful sales presentations with positive results
- Clinical and procedure excellence, product expertise, and new product introduction experience
- Strong customer understanding and ability to use customer data and knowledge to drive the buying process
- Ability to mentor and develop field sales talent
- Track record of success in a complex organizational environment with enterprise mentality decision-making
- Demonstrated leadership in business planning and project management
- Documented sales achievements
- Valid driver's license issued in the United States
- Willingness and ability to travel significantly (30%-50%)
- Must live in the current geography or be willing to relocate
