Job Description
People Operations Partner supporting US hiring, HR operations, and compliance at Nofence, which develops virtual fencing technology for livestock. Managing benefits, payroll inputs, employee relations, and culture.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for US employees on people-related matters
- Run onboarding for all North America new hires
- Support managers with day-to-day people questions, performance conversations, and employee relations
- Administer US benefits and leave and communicate offerings to employees
- Manage local People administration and own biweekly US payroll inputs
- Prepare, validate, and approve salary data, variables, and changes in Rippling and HiBob
- Drive end-to-end hiring for North American roles, from scoping and sourcing through offers
- Manage candidate experience and communication
- Partner with hiring managers to define role criteria and make hiring decisions
- Own multi-state US employment compliance
- Manage multi-state SUI and employment tax compliance, including Rippling filings and state correspondence
- Support US culture, check-ins, performance processes, and team gatherings
- Lead or drive global People projects and initiatives
- Report to the VP People and collaborate with the MD US and global People & Finance team
Requirements:
- 4+ years in people roles at a scaling US company or start-up
- Genuine, proven generalist breadth across recruiting and HR operations
- Solid knowledge of multi-state US employment law
- Practical experience navigating multi-state employment compliance
- Hands-on experience administering US employee benefits, health insurance, and leave management including FMLA
- Experience with HiBob, Rippling, or a comparable HRIS
- Ability to source candidates and run structured, end-to-end hiring processes
- Experience with employee relations, onboarding, manager support, and compliance
- Comfortable with ambiguity and building from scratch
- High ownership and low drama
- Based in the US, preferably around Denver, Colorado
- Ability to facilitate time overlap with colleagues across the US and Europe
