Job Description
Platform Operations Specialist configuring uMed’s clinical research technology platform. Supporting studies, releases, documentation, compliance, and operational process improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Configure and maintain the uMed platform for new studies, product capabilities, and operational processes
- Configure platform settings, workflows, communications, templates, questionnaires, reference data, and other configurable components
- Review configuration requests and identify issues before implementation
- Develop reusable configuration templates
- Translate product requirements into operational platform configurations with Product Managers
- Coordinate setup activities for studies, enhancements, and releases
- Validate configurations and support release readiness
- Investigate production issues related to platform configuration
- Improve, simplify, standardize, and automate operational processes
- Develop checklists, templates, runbooks, user guides, and standard operating procedures
- Coordinate with Product, Engineering, Data, Compliance, and Operations teams
- Communicate configuration progress, issues, and risks
- Support audits and follow production change-management processes
Requirements:
- Experience working within healthcare, health technology, or other regulated industries
- Experience configuring or administering SaaS or enterprise software platforms
- Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to operational work
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to investigate operational issues
- Ability to translate business requirements into accurate platform configurations
- Experience using configuration-driven software platforms
- Strong documentation skills, including runbooks, user guides, and standard operating procedures
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
- Experience working in Agile software delivery environments
- Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment is desirable
