Job Description

Platform Operations Specialist configuring uMed’s clinical research technology platform. Supporting studies, releases, documentation, compliance, and operational process improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain the uMed platform for new studies, product capabilities, and operational processes
  • Configure platform settings, workflows, communications, templates, questionnaires, reference data, and other configurable components
  • Review configuration requests and identify issues before implementation
  • Develop reusable configuration templates
  • Translate product requirements into operational platform configurations with Product Managers
  • Coordinate setup activities for studies, enhancements, and releases
  • Validate configurations and support release readiness
  • Investigate production issues related to platform configuration
  • Improve, simplify, standardize, and automate operational processes
  • Develop checklists, templates, runbooks, user guides, and standard operating procedures
  • Coordinate with Product, Engineering, Data, Compliance, and Operations teams
  • Communicate configuration progress, issues, and risks
  • Support audits and follow production change-management processes

Requirements:

  • Experience working within healthcare, health technology, or other regulated industries
  • Experience configuring or administering SaaS or enterprise software platforms
  • Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to operational work
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to investigate operational issues
  • Ability to translate business requirements into accurate platform configurations
  • Experience using configuration-driven software platforms
  • Strong documentation skills, including runbooks, user guides, and standard operating procedures
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
  • Experience working in Agile software delivery environments
  • Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment is desirable
