Job Description

Manager of Pricing and Analytics developing pricing and promotional strategies for Rugs USA. Focused on maximizing profitability and analyzing market trends in the retail sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a clear pricing architecture that aligns with overall merchandising and channel strategies
  • Manage markdown pricing process and analysis to balance maximizing sell-through and margin on all clearance and discontinued sku’s
  • Monitor product and category profitability to proactively recommend price changes to maximize revenue and profitability
  • Develop reporting to monitor competitor prices and make recommendations for price adjustments based on competitor positioning
  • Forecast the impact of price and promotion changes to the business and analyze the financial impact of the changes post implementation
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Ecommerce teams on promotion and pricing strategies including during large holiday sales events
  • Improve the sophistication of pricing analysis through the development of elasticity analysis and improved forecasting tools

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field; Advanced degree a plus
  • 4 to 6 years experience working in a retail or ecommerce business with experience in pricing analysis preferred
  • Excellent data analysis and analytical skills and comfort analyzing very large data sets
  • Prior experience creating forecasts is required
  • Expert using Microsoft Excel
  • Familiar with financial and statistical analysis
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or R a plus
  • Comfort with data visualization and analysis software including Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik
