Job Description
Principal Software Engineer architecting Cotiviti’s unified healthcare client performance portal. Building full-stack integrations across claims, billing, identity, and support systems.
Responsibilities:
- Assess the existing Support/ticketing module and decide whether to absorb, wrap behind an API, or re-platform it
- Lead technical discovery of systems behind legacy client portals and assess exposing their data through a unified client-facing layer
- Define and help build the platform architecture, including API/aggregation layer, data pipelines, authentication/authorization model, and integration patterns
- Make and document build-vs-integrate decisions for major components
- Design role-based access control and data segmentation for Executive, Analyst, and Operations personas and different client organizations
- Reconcile the access model with the existing Okta/SCIM setup
- Partner with Product, Security/Compliance, and Data teams on regulatory and PHI/PII handling requirements
- Write production frontend and backend code establishing engineering patterns
- Produce architecture documentation and decision records
- Advise on build sequencing and phasing based on dependencies and risk
- Act as the primary technical point of contact during discovery and early build phases
- Complete annual performance review or goal-setting responsibilities and assigned special projects
Requirements:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- 3+ years in a principal/staff-level or senior technical lead role
- Hands-on full-stack delivery experience
- Strong C#/.NET experience
- Exposure to Blazor or comparable component-based .NET web frameworks
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure PaaS services, including App Service/Web Apps, API Management, Logic Apps or equivalent workflow/integration orchestration, Key Vault, and Azure-managed relational databases (Postgres or SQL)
- Experience with enterprise identity platforms such as Okta, Azure AD/Entra ID, or similar
- Experience with SSO, MFA, and SCIM-based provisioning
- Experience integrating third-party SaaS systems via REST APIs and webhooks, including bidirectional sync patterns
- Track record of producing architecture documentation and driving technical decisions with cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience scoping and sequencing a multi-phase technical program
- Experience making build-vs-integrate-vs-replatform decisions on existing systems
- Ability to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and maintain an office setup
- Ability to provide a dedicated, secure work area
- Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
