Job Description
Principal Solutions Architect guiding technical architecture for Luma implementations at Dotmatics. Collaborating with Sales and Engineering within a fully remote environment.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the design authority for Luma-based customer solutions
- Define logical and physical architectures covering applications, data, integrations, identity, environments and operations
- Ensure architectural consistency across multiple customer engagements
- Shape functional requirements in collaboration with Scientific Architect and Application Scientists
- Own non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, security, resilience, observability, accessibility, internationalisation, and maintainability
- Design integration approaches using technologies such as Apache NiFi, APIs, batch pipelines, and event-driven patterns
- Architect Luma solutions that integrate with customer enterprise systems including ELNs, LIMS, SDMS, PLM, ERP, Instrument data systems
- Apply security best practices covering IAM, data protection, tenancy, and compliance
- Act as senior technical advisor to customers, including IT leadership and enterprise architects
- Provide architectural guidance to other Solution Architects, Technical Leads, Application Scientists, and Delivery Partners
Requirements:
- 10+ years experience designing enterprise-grade SaaS or hybrid architectures
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical or scientific field
- Strong understanding of integration patterns, APIs, data pipelines, and distributed systems
- Architecture certifications (TOGAF, cloud architecture)
- Experience in regulated environments (GxP, FDA, ISO, SOC 2, GDPR)
