Job Description
Procurement Manager leading capital-project sourcing, supplier negotiations, and infrastructure delivery for IREN’s renewable-energy AI data centers. Supporting budgets, contracts, and site operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead procurement activities for a new data center site
- Support capital construction and infrastructure projects
- Manage procurement activities for mechanical, electrical, structural, and critical equipment packages
- Run RFQs/RFPs, evaluate proposals, and support vendor selection
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms
- Track long-lead items and ensure on-time delivery
- Partner with Engineering, Construction, Legal, and Finance
- Maintain day-to-day supplier relationships
- Support supplier onboarding and performance tracking
- Assist with contract review and compliance
- Monitor vendor performance against KPIs
- Support site operations with purchasing and service contracts
- Monitor spend and identify cost efficiencies
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure accurate PO and system management
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of progressive procurement experience, including capital project sourcing within the construction or Data Center industry
- Experience supporting large infrastructure, industrial, energy, or data center projects
- Demonstrated success leading complex negotiations and contract management
- Experience building or leading procurement teams
- Strong understanding of commercial terms, contract structures, and risk mitigation
- Experience working within ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Experience in data center, mission-critical, energy, or high-availability environments
- Experience supporting greenfield site builds or major expansions
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and critical infrastructure supply markets
- Travel required 40%-50%
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
