Job Description

Project Manager advancing H&R Block’s tax-office readiness and client experiences. Coordinating cross-functional launches, communications, pilots, and adoption across the tax preparation journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives supporting key client and associate experiences across the tax preparation journey
  • Manage projects across multiple business initiatives
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to align priorities, dependencies, timelines, and deliverables
  • Translate business changes into field-ready communications, guidance, and readiness materials
  • Monitor project milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and adoption indicators
  • Gather and analyze feedback from tax offices, advisors, clients, and business partners
  • Support pilot programs, testing activities, and phased rollouts
  • Develop job aids, frequently asked questions, leadership resources, and support materials
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions
  • Escalate project risks and barriers affecting timing, quality, client experience, or business results
  • Document lessons learned, performance insights, and recommendations
  • Connect enterprise priorities with the needs of tax offices and the clients they serve

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience
  • 3-5 years related project management, operations, field support, product readiness, analytics, communications, or cross-functional business experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group
  • Ability to lead in a matrix environment and at a distance (virtually)
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
  • Demonstrated decision making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated effectiveness presenting complex information to multiple organizational levels
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and product planning tools
  • Familiarity with Project Management methodologies
  • Track record of establishing priorities and deadlines
  • PMP certification, equivalent project management training, or completed coursework toward project management certification (preferred)
  • Tax, financial services, retail, seasonal operations, field leadership, or consulting experience (preferred)
  • Familiarity with compliance, governance, regulatory requirements, or risk management practices (preferred)
  • Experience with H&R Block Assisted Tax operations, field systems, product readiness, or field-facing support channels (preferred)
  • Experience using dashboards, operational metrics, feedback themes, or performance insights to support project decisions (preferred)
