Job Description
Project Manager role coordinating software releases in a mortgage-focused financial firm. Leading cross-functional teams for effective project delivery in a continuous deployment environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate software releases in partnership with product and infrastructure teams, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track release progress, identify dependencies, and manage risks.
- Conduct Release Readiness Reviews, Milestones reviews, and Go/No-Go reviews.
- Review deployment plans, rollback plans, resource plans, and communication plans.
- Participate and coordinate the Go live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
- Conduct RCA analysis on Release related issues.
- Ensure onboarding and training documents are kept up to date.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying and automating release processes, reporting, and monitoring using AI/ML tools or scripting.
- Coordination with Vendor support teams during planning and execution windows.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of professional experience as part of a software development team or in a release management role, including relevant internships.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycles (SDLC) and release management processes.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and mitigate risks and issues during the release process.
- Experience with release management or project management tools like JIRA and ServiceNow.
