Job Description
Desjardins insurance professionals advising clients on property-casualty coverage and reporting claims remotely. Supporting policy issuance, renewals, FNOL calls, and claims documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare premium quotes and issue insurance contracts for property and casualty insurance clients
- Assess members’ and clients’ specific insurance needs
- Support clients in choosing appropriate coverage and promote personalized services
- Follow up on files, analyze renewals requiring special underwriting, and correct contracts as needed
- Take First Notice of Loss (FNOL) calls following vehicle accidents and property damage
- Handle claims calls with care, empathy, and a calm demeanour
- Assess clients’ mental and physical state and react accordingly
- Record detailed loss information to create claims files for Claims Advisors
- Reassure clients that they will be taken care of during their time of need
Requirements:
- College diploma preferred
- A minimum of two years of strong client service experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Ability to assess client needs and provide appropriate insurance coverage support
- Active listening, analytical, probing, empathetic, and calm communication approach
- Ability to document detailed loss information accurately
