Job Description

Desjardins insurance professionals advising clients on property-casualty coverage and reporting claims remotely. Supporting policy issuance, renewals, FNOL calls, and claims documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare premium quotes and issue insurance contracts for property and casualty insurance clients
  • Assess members’ and clients’ specific insurance needs
  • Support clients in choosing appropriate coverage and promote personalized services
  • Follow up on files, analyze renewals requiring special underwriting, and correct contracts as needed
  • Take First Notice of Loss (FNOL) calls following vehicle accidents and property damage
  • Handle claims calls with care, empathy, and a calm demeanour
  • Assess clients’ mental and physical state and react accordingly
  • Record detailed loss information to create claims files for Claims Advisors
  • Reassure clients that they will be taken care of during their time of need

Requirements:

  • College diploma preferred
  • A minimum of two years of strong client service experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Ability to assess client needs and provide appropriate insurance coverage support
  • Active listening, analytical, probing, empathetic, and calm communication approach
  • Ability to document detailed loss information accurately
