Job Description
Regional Director growing AoPS Academy’s educational campuses across the western United States. Leading campus teams, financial performance, expansion, and academic quality.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for all AoPS Academy campuses within the assigned region
- Uphold AoPS educational mission and standards and ensure consistent quality of educational services
- Establish regional performance standards and growth objectives with HQ teams and campus leaders
- Analyze performance data, implement improvements, and hold campuses accountable to metrics
- Provide KPI updates to the National Operations Director and Academy leadership
- Perform monthly financial reviews and support financially sound business decisions
- Hire, develop, and manage campus leadership teams
- Supervise campus hiring efforts and lead professional development, cross-campus mentorship, and knowledge-sharing programs
- Define staffing levels, roles, promotion structures, and compensation with Talent Strategy and Academy leadership
- Support expansion by launching new campuses, providing market insights, and partnering on market research and site identification
- Communicate and collaborate across management levels and departments
- Document and escalate regional feedback to HQ teams and improve operations, systems, and processes
- Resolve escalated campus issues and complete other assigned tasks
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree preferred
- Experience teaching K-12 or in Education administration or management preferred
- Multi-site leadership and management experience
- Strong financial management skills, including budget development and management and understanding of margin drivers
- Business or other analytical background to support monitoring of data and budgets
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Must be based in Southern California (San Diego County, Los Angeles County, or Orange County) or the Greater Seattle Area; San Diego County strongly preferred
- Frequent travel within the assigned region and occasional travel outside the area
- Some evening and weekend hours
- Legally authorized to work in the US; no sponsorship, including STEM-OPT and H-1B
- Successful completion of a background check
