Job Description
Revenue Specialist I performing billing and collections for DaVita's revenue operations. Collaborating with teams to enhance patient insurance processes and ensure timely payments.
Responsibilities:
- Perform duties for revenue operations department related to medical insurance billing, collections or patient access
- Communicate with patients and insurance payers to ensure proper insurance coverage
- Review and submit system setup requests for accurate billing
- Respond timely and accurately to payer communications
- Collaborate with revenue operations teams for seamless processes
- Partner with clinics' teammates for timely insurance information
- Identify process changes and opportunities for improvement
- Maintain patient account information and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- ROPS revenue cycle management experience
- Knowledge of revenue cycle, insurance rules, and regulations for federal, state, and/or managed care payers in multiple states
- Knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement practices
- Usage of DaVita billing and reimbursement systems
- Basic medical reimbursement terminology
- Basic knowledge of healthcare reimbursement accounting principles
