Job Description
Sales Representative expanding wine and craft spirits brands through target-account relationships, distributor sales, consumer education, and territory sales goals.
Responsibilities:
- Identify target accounts and build relationships with on- and off-premises staff, retail managers, and customer sales personnel
- Leverage key-account relationships to sell in distribution
- Educate trade and consumers through samplings, meetings, and trainings
- Support the local team with staff training
- Use Encompass, Microsoft Office Suite, and other software to track activities, results, contacts, tasks, and output
- Maintain and enhance the network of points of distribution
- Achieve monthly sales and placement goals in the assigned territory
- Direct distributor sales forces and develop key retail customer relationships
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of sales experience with a supplier or distributor
- Spirits background would be ideal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must have and provide valid Driver’s License and auto insurance that is in force
- Ability and willingness to occasionally work non-traditional hours, such as nights and weekends
- Strong interpersonal skills to direct distributor sales forces and develop key retail customer relationships
- Familiarity with the local market
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to work remotely
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, handle documents, bend, stoop, and reach as needed
- Ability to work prolonged periods at a desk and on a computer
- Ability to verbally communicate and exchange accurate information
- Ability to receive detailed oral information and distinguish sounds at normal speaking levels, with or without correction
- Comfort with varying noise levels and warehouse temperatures
