Job Description
Sales Team Lead responsible for coaching and guiding a sales team at a trucking insurance agency. Leading onboarding, driving sales performance, and aligning team strategy with market trends.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct structured coaching sessions and performance reviews to develop sales producers and ensure accountability
- Analyze CRM and sales data to monitor performance, identify gaps, and implement strategies to improve outcomes
- Personally lead onboarding programs for new producers, providing clear milestones and support from day one until full productivity
- Mentor the team in real time during quoting, negotiations, and follow-ups
- Create accurate monthly and quarterly sales reports, providing leadership with insights and actionable recommendations
- Stay informed on competitor strategies, regulatory updates, and market shifts to guide the team’s sales direction
- Lead retention efforts to strengthen client loyalty and renewals
- Build strong working relationships with underwriters and carriers to ensure smooth approvals and broaden offerings
- Partner with marketing, operations, and customer service teams to deliver seamless client experiences
- Foster a performance-driven, collaborative culture through structured mentorship and team-building initiatives
Requirements:
- 7+ years of proven leadership experience in sales
- Documented track record of building and leading successful sales teams
- Advanced CRM proficiency with a strong ability to use data in decision-making
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and influence
- Knowledge of insurance products, underwriting processes, and compliance requirements is a plus
