Job Description

Sales Team Lead responsible for coaching and guiding a sales team at a trucking insurance agency. Leading onboarding, driving sales performance, and aligning team strategy with market trends.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct structured coaching sessions and performance reviews to develop sales producers and ensure accountability
  • Analyze CRM and sales data to monitor performance, identify gaps, and implement strategies to improve outcomes
  • Personally lead onboarding programs for new producers, providing clear milestones and support from day one until full productivity
  • Mentor the team in real time during quoting, negotiations, and follow-ups
  • Create accurate monthly and quarterly sales reports, providing leadership with insights and actionable recommendations
  • Stay informed on competitor strategies, regulatory updates, and market shifts to guide the team’s sales direction
  • Lead retention efforts to strengthen client loyalty and renewals
  • Build strong working relationships with underwriters and carriers to ensure smooth approvals and broaden offerings
  • Partner with marketing, operations, and customer service teams to deliver seamless client experiences
  • Foster a performance-driven, collaborative culture through structured mentorship and team-building initiatives

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of proven leadership experience in sales
  • Documented track record of building and leading successful sales teams
  • Advanced CRM proficiency with a strong ability to use data in decision-making
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and influence
  • Knowledge of insurance products, underwriting processes, and compliance requirements is a plus
