Job Description
Procurement analyst managing indirect materials, suppliers, and purchase orders for Collins Aerospace. Supporting cost-effective aerospace supply chain operations and process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Procure-to-Pay process for indirect materials
- Identify qualified suppliers while leveraging existing agreements
- Manage purchase order placement from requisition through invoice payment for assigned commodities
- Obtain price quotations and negotiate pricing and delivery
- Analyze supplier quotes and make sourcing recommendations and decisions
- Ensure product on-time delivery to schedule
- Initiate supplier negotiations on price, lead time, and terms and conditions
- Complete purchase order documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Ensure timely order placement to support business needs and meet team-defined turnaround times
- Interface with requisitioners and other functional groups
- Work independently and as a team member on additional projects supporting the Supply Chain organization
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive cost-effective procurement solutions, maintain compliance, and improve processes
Requirements:
- University Degree in Business Administration, International Business, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with SAP procurement software or similar ERP systems in a supply chain or procurement environment
- Experience with Oracle, Epicor, People Soft, APEX or PRISM
- Advanced proficiency in English
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate fluently and professionally in written and spoken English
- Proficiency in SAP procurement functions, Business Warehouse, and Business Objects
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with lean principles and process improvement strategies
- Knowledge of indirect commodities in a manufacturing or aerospace environment
