Job Description
Sr. Category Sourcing Manager procuring mission-critical data center equipment for Iron Mountain’s infrastructure services. Leading RFx events, category strategies, supplier qualification, and construction-program sourcing.
Responsibilities:
- Source mission-critical data center equipment
- Plan, execute, and manage competitive sourcing events, including RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs
- Support mission-critical data center construction and expansion projects
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve regional and global category sourcing strategies
- Create process workflows focused on cycle-time reduction
- Partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction, Finance, and Legal teams
- Align sourcing strategies with budget, continuity of supply, and project delivery timelines
- Identify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers
- Track cost savings and cost avoidance metrics
- Deliver data-driven reporting to leadership
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement
- Proven experience managing complex RFx processes
- Proficiency in developing standard operating procedures
- Proficiency in gathering savings metrics
- Proficiency in creating data-driven reports in ambiguous work environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to present to executive stakeholders
- Direct experience in a data center or infrastructure service provider environment is considered a strong plus
