Job Description

Senior business development professional driving Federal and DoD IT growth for Alaska Native-owned OSC EdgeTech. Capturing contracts, shaping opportunities, and managing proposal-to-transition activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with corporate growth goals
  • Shape and influence requirements early in the acquisition cycle
  • Manage the full business development lifecycle, including opportunity identification, capture strategy, proposal support, and contract transition
  • Establish and maintain relationships with DoD and government decision-makers, industry partners, and integrators
  • Collaborate with internal departments and leadership teams to ensure customer success
  • Deliver weekly updates and progress reports
  • Contribute to business development processes, including CRM, formal capture, and proposal workflows
  • Develop, forecast, and capture new opportunities while maintaining new and existing customer relationships
  • Identify strategic inflection points in the marketplace
  • Develop and present strategic and business growth opportunities, including market and competitive analysis
  • Monitor government portals, notices, and postings daily for strategic and tactical fit opportunities
  • Provide capture planning and execution support
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; associate’s degree or higher preferred
  • 10 or more years of experience in business development, capture management, or sales within the Federal Government and/or Department of Defense information technology market
  • Experience developing and executing market-entry and growth strategies
  • Proven ability and demonstrated success capturing small and large-scale DoD contracts, preferably in information technology
  • Demonstrated experience with POM processes and contracting vehicles such as IDIQ
  • Experience building relationships with federal acquisition offices and collaborating with subcontractor and prime Federal Contractors
  • Experience pursuing tactical, operational, and strategic business development opportunities
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%
  • Active Secret security clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain one as required
  • Knowledge of Federal, DoD, and commercial sectors
  • Ability to identify, qualify, pursue, and capture Federal and DoD contract opportunities
  • Proficiency with CRM, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and industry-standard computer software and databases
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, business judgment, organizational, follow-up, detail-oriented, interpersonal, written, verbal communication, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet competing deadlines, work independently and collaboratively, and handle confidential information
  • Ability to work in confined rack spaces and perform specified physical activities, including lifting up to 10 pounds regularly
  • Must meet applicable work authorization requirements; employer participates in E-Verify
