Job Description
Senior Business Systems Analyst improving Golden 1 Credit Union’s data warehousing, reporting, and business intelligence solutions. Translating business requirements into compliant, data-driven process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Cover all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle for data warehousing and reporting solutions
- Analyze requirements, identify report content and functionality, document the SDLC, and recommend designs and solutions
- Determine and recommend reporting enhancements for existing and new processes using enterprise business intelligence tools
- Work across business areas, applications, data domains, and technologies
- Document business requirements and functional design specifications for conversions, interfaces, and reports
- Drive joint business/IT requirements and solution discussions and stakeholder review meetings
- Identify functional gaps and improvement opportunities
- Coordinate issue resolution with cross-functional teams during design and development
- Define and document use cases, scenarios, and test scripts with users
- Prepare and execute test plans
- Create process, training, and operational support documentation
- Ensure requirements are delivered in timely stages
- Research, define, and evaluate data requirements and specifications
- Evaluate data and data structures from disparate systems and improve business processes through business intelligence and data analytics
- Mentor and train other Business Systems Analysts
- Act as liaison between business clients and technical staff throughout projects and process improvements
- Coordinate with IT and departmental project analysts and managers
- Stay current with technology trends, solutions, and vendors
- Perform other job-related duties as necessary
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience required
- 7+ years progressive experience in business requirements analysis and data analysis required
- Thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance, including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws
- Ability to analyze business requirements and data
- Experience with data warehousing and reporting solutions
- Experience with enterprise business intelligence tools
- Knowledge of SDLC documentation, BRDs, and FRDs
- Ability to define use cases, scenarios, test scripts, and test plans
- Ability to evaluate data and data structures from disparate systems
- Ability to coordinate with cross-functional business and technical teams
- Ability to stay current with technology trends, solutions, and vendors
