Job Description
Senior Contracts Manager leading contracting phases and vendor selection for energy solutions provider. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance value and efficiency in procurement.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the creation of RFP documents and work with cross-functional teams to ensure submission on required RFP documents.
- Analyze all RFP documents to understand project requirements and deliverables.
- Lead all necessary pre-RFP meetings with team members to ensure the accuracy of the bid documents.
- Deliver all necessary bid documents to Contractors.
- Manage internal stakeholders’ evaluations of received bid documents and review for accuracy.
- Conduct bid analysis - identify risks, pricing, schedule, etc. between each proposal.
- Lead bid review meetings internally and externally.
- Present complete bid analysis with a recommendation to award to leadership.
- Manage internal stakeholders’ evaluations of contract documents and review for accuracy.
- Direct strategic negotiations and make commercial decisions.
- Conduct internal meetings to ensure contracting strategies are aligned with the company objectives.
- Conduct final review of contract documents and develop presentation to leadership for contract execution approval.
- Manage communications with business partners, vendors, and other stakeholders, as necessary.
- Identify new vendors and review prequalification documents associated with onboarding new vendors.
- Manage and mentor staff encouraging professional growth & development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Logistics, or in a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of solar or related experience.
- Working knowledge of EPC contracts, preferably in utility scale solar.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solar Industry experience.
- Knowledge of engineering design, procurement, and construction practices and procedures.
- Proficiency in conducting negotiations with vendors.
- Excellent communication, analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong organizational, time management and people skills, detail orientated.
- Must have a continuous improvement approach.
- Must be self-motivated and resourceful.
- Able to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Decision making proficiency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Strong customer service skills with focus on listening to the customer.
