Job Description

Senior Director, Medical Affairs leading Neurology strategy across CNS/Neurology portfolio at Praxis. Influencing disease-area strategy and building relationships with the medical community.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Medical Affairs leader for Neurology, representing Praxis internally and externally with KOLs, investigators, and advocacy organizations.
  • Lead the development and execution of integrated medical strategy across the product lifecycle.
  • Shape disease-state strategy, scientific exchange, and evidence generation plans.
  • Design and execute key initiatives including advisory boards, congress strategy and engagement, publication planning, field medical strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including KOLs, academic institutions, and patient advocacy groups.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Clinical Development, Commercial, Regulatory, and other key functions to ensure alignment and impact.
  • Lead Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS) and company-sponsored research strategy.
  • Oversee vendors, budgets, and operational execution with a focus on quality and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree: MD/DO, PharmD, or PhD with strong relevant experience in Neurology/CNS - such as Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, or adjacent indications.
  • 10+ years of experience in Medical Affairs and/or in combination with Clinical Research, within a Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical Organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience at the Director or Senior Director or equivalent level.
  • Proven ability to organize and lead scientific advisory panels, foster KOL relationships, and to clearly communicate complex scientific and medical information to stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of U.S. regulations governing Medical Affairs activities.
  • Experience across product lifecycles, from late-stage clinical development through post-marketing strategy and safety monitoring.
