Job Description

Senior Director of Payer Marketing at Amgen developing strategies for payer access to biotech products. Collaborating across teams to enhance market access and customer engagement strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the payer-facing commercial strategy for the company’s products and services
  • Shape the payer value story, drive payer/customer engagement strategy, and partner cross-functionally to improve accessibility
  • Lead development of payer value propositions and supporting messages across customer segments
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing payer marketing team and establish payer/customer insight generation strategies
  • Create and govern payer-facing materials and programs to support decision-making
  • Design account-based marketing approaches and orchestrate omnichannel payer engagement
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent marketing narratives and contribute to launch readiness

Requirements:

  • Doctorate degree and 5 years in payer marketing, market access marketing, or related market access/commercial roles in healthcare, biotech/pharma, or reimbursed digital health experience
  • OR Master’s degree and 9 years in payer marketing, market access marketing, or related market access/commercial roles in healthcare, biotech/pharma, or reimbursed digital health experience
  • OR Bachelor’s degree and 11 years in payer marketing, market access marketing, or related market access/commercial roles in healthcare, biotech/pharma, or reimbursed digital health experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Launch experience (pre-launch through post-launch) with payer-facing deliverables and access milestones.
  • Strong analytical fluency (claims/coverage data, patient journey, contracting/access analytics).
