Job Description
Cisco Senior Engineering Program Manager leading complex security programs and measurable delivery. Driving developer-friendly security services across Cisco’s software engineering organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead consequential, cross-functional, multi-year security programs end to end
- Turn service vision into strategy and execution with Security Engineering Service Owners and Engineering Managers
- Set roadmaps, objectives and key results, and drive delivery
- Hold teams accountable for KPIs and measurable outcomes
- Identify issues, untangle dependencies, and unblock teams
- Treat security services as products and developers as customers
- Optimize the security value delivered by each service
- Reduce developer friction and redesign services with key stakeholders
- Translate progress, risk, and tradeoffs into decision-ready narratives for leadership
- Steer a portfolio of concurrent service programs and prioritize competing demands
- Improve program management practices, standards, and tooling across the team
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 9 years of related experience; or Master's degree and 7 years; or PhD and 4 years; or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience
- Experience leading large-scale, complex, high-visibility programs to measurable outcomes
- Exceptional learning agility in unfamiliar technical domains
- Ability to influence without direct authority and build alignment across teams and partners
- Ability to operate autonomously under ambiguity and broad scope
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Substantial executive-level communication experience
- Fluency in how modern software is built and secured across the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Understanding of how AI is reshaping software development and security
- Product management experience or program management experience working with product teams
- Program management certification such as PMP or PGMP is a plus
- Software engineering or DevOps background and hands-on security experience are preferred
