Job Description
Senior Financial Analyst leading R&D financial planning and analysis for Zapier, focusing on resource allocation and forecasting. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing strategic insights.
Responsibilities:
- Own R&D financial planning and analysis
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for R&D spend
- Build and maintain models explaining cloud costs and key usage drivers
- Evaluate and track AI-related spend
- Drive strategic insights for R&D leadership
- Develop scalable, decision-ready models
- Support executive and board-level reporting
- Improve tools, processes, and data quality
Requirements:
- 4+ years of FP&A-specific experience
- Background in Big 4 Accounting, Investment Banking, or Management Consulting
- Experience building bottoms up and high level financial models
- Understanding of how modern R&D organizations operate
- Initiative and thrive in ambiguity
- Love for data and SQL experience is a plus
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Comfortable driving cross-functional alignment
- Ability to experiment with AI.
