Job Description
Learning specialist developing literacy training content for Curriculum Associates’ K–8 education technology programs. Supporting LMS delivery, stakeholder alignment, and instructor-led, eLearning, and microlearning readiness.
Responsibilities:
- Execute content development tasks for literacy product training, including instructor-led training, eLearning, microlearning, and other formats
- Lead content development across multiple formats and content areas for literacy products, including higher-visibility deliverables
- Serve as subject matter expert and go-to resource for literacy product content
- Act as a primary point of contact between LXR and IST on literacy product learning needs
- Synthesize stakeholder input from the Stakeholder Program Manager, Product Development, and Product Marketing to inform literacy content strategy
- Partner with Content and Learning Experience Program Managers to align training with platform capabilities, content standards, and learner needs
- Support LMS administration and content uploads
- Facilitate scheduled and ad hoc training sessions to support IST readiness
- Manage timelines and deliverables for literacy content production and deployment
- Support content quality reviews and contribute to process documentation and best practices
- Incorporate stakeholder and learner feedback to improve training content and flag gaps or inconsistencies
- Ensure literacy content meets accessibility, inclusivity, and regulatory compliance standards
- Support Curriculum Associates’ mission of improving education technology and learning experiences for K–8 students
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Literacy, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of experience in learning and development or content development, preferably within K–12 education or publishing
- Working knowledge of K–12 literacy curriculum standards and instructional needs
- Experience with learning platforms, authoring tools, or other content-development technology preferred
- Deep subject-matter expertise in K–12 literacy instruction and curriculum
- Ability to translate stakeholder learning needs into learner-centered content across instructor-led training, eLearning, and microlearning formats
- Ability to create, manage, and deliver accurate, timely, and engaging literacy training materials
- Ability to synthesize input from Product Development, Product Marketing, and Program Managers
- Ability to deliver formal and ad hoc training sessions
- Ability to manage timelines, deliverables, and deployment across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Ability to review literacy content for accuracy, consistency, and quality
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), authoring tools, and digital learning platforms
- Knowledge of accessible, inclusive, and compliant learning content best practices
- Ability to interpret stakeholder and learner feedback
- Minimal travel, less than twice per month, with occasional in-person training or content delivery
