Job Description

Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager overseeing CRM and lifecycle communication strategies at simpleclub. Focused on user journeys, retention, and monetization within an app/SaaS environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and continuously optimize lifecycle strategies and communication flows across the customer and user lifecycle
  • Design complex, hyper-personalized CRM automations and journeys such as onboarding, activation, retention and win-back
  • Independently identify weaknesses and leaks in the lifecycle funnel and derive concrete communication actions
  • Work closely with Sales, CSM, Product, Product Marketing and Growth to define use cases, messaging approaches and cross-channel experiments
  • Create, iterate and test channel-specific CRM content and copy for email, push notifications and in-app messages
  • Define, implement and execute a structured experimentation and testing logic for our CRM communications
  • Analyze the performance of your initiatives based on defined KPIs and business metrics and derive optimizations
  • Operational setup, QA and rollout of CRM campaigns in HubSpot & CEP (Braze) in close coordination with our Senior CRM & Revenue Operations Manager
  • Maintain clear documentation of journeys, learnings and best practices for scaling

Requirements:

  • Several years of experience (min. 5 years) in CRM and lifecycle marketing in an app or SaaS environment
  • Proven experience in developing and optimizing lifecycle communications with measurable impact (show us your results!)
  • Strong analytical understanding of funnels, retention and user behavior
  • Excellent sense for CRM copy, user psychology and channel-specific messaging
  • Confident use of CRM and app tools such as HubSpot, Braze and comparable platforms
  • Ability to independently develop hypotheses and test them in a structured way
  • Clear, professional communication when collaborating with Product, Growth and CRM & RevOps
  • Excellent German skills for copywriting and very good English
  • AI-first approach to operational CRM and lifecycle communication, using AI to scale content variations, personalization and performance analyses while keeping tone and relevance intentionally human-controlled
  • Experience planning and executing structured A/B tests and working with experiment roadmaps in a CRM or lifecycle context
  • Experience continuously developing and testing new CRM communication channels in close collaboration with Senior CRM & Revenue Operations, e.g. SMS, WhatsApp, website chat or chatbots
