Job Description
Senior Manager leading field-based Oncology Area Business Specialists team at Johnson & Johnson. Focused on optimizing hematology operational strategy and executing in community accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of field-based Oncology Area Business Specialists
- be accountable for the management, development, and training of the Oncology Area Business Specialists
- Build a high-performing, motivated, and engaged team to deliver upon this new capability within Oncology
- ensure consistency in approach across all geographies
- Strategically develop capabilities and training to help facilitate site penetration and brand productivity
- Assess needs per geography and develop strategic plans and training that will build the ABSs’ skills to meet these needs
- Connect with key external customers to gain insights and shape go-to-market plans
- Partner across other Oncology Field teams in a compliant manner across all applicable aspects of portfolio promotion, pull-through, and reimbursement
- Coach Oncology ABSs to work with their field partners to assess sales opportunities that are hindered by reimbursement, account efficiencies and processes, or cost issues
- Assist in providing solutions to key decision makers at community parent accounts and outlets
- Coach the ABS team to serve as resources to our customers regarding clinical, economic and operational efficiencies, practice management, as well as general payer coverage for our brands.
Requirements:
- The qualified candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree
- minimum of five (5) years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biologic / biotech, or medical device sales industries
- A minimum of three (3) years of people management experience
- A minimum of three (3) years of Oncology experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and motivate others to success
- Excellent business acumen, leadership skills, and knowledge of site of care operations and reimbursement required.
- A valid driver's license issued in one of the fifty (50) United States and willingness to travel as needed or required, at least 50%; which may include overnight/weekend travel.
