Job Description
NGS Sales Specialist driving Thermo Fisher Scientific instrument revenue across U.S. research, pharmaceutical, and industrial markets. Managing strategic accounts, complex equipment sales, and customized scientific solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Grow revenue through strategic sales of advanced scientific instruments and solutions
- Develop and manage key customer relationships across research institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and industrial sectors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify sales opportunities
- Create customized customer solutions
- Ensure exceptional customer experiences
- Help customers make breakthrough discoveries and improve efficiency
- Achieve or exceed sales targets
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans
- Manage complex sales cycles and large capital equipment deals
- Manage direct customers and channel partners
- Travel up to 50% within the assigned territory
- Work independently while collaborating in a matrix organization
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of successful sales experience in scientific instruments or analytical equipment required
- Preferred fields of study: Science, Oncology, Chemistry, Biology, or Instrumentation
- Relevant professional certifications a plus
- Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Strong technical understanding of NGS instrumentation and applications
- Excellent relationship-building and account management skills with direct customers and channel partners
- Proficiency in CRM systems, especially Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Outstanding presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans
- Experience managing complex sales cycles and large capital equipment deals
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within assigned territory
- Business-level English proficiency required; local language skills as needed
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel independently
- Experience with public and private sector procurement processes
- Knowledge of competitor products and market dynamics
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a matrix organization
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, including a drug screen
