Job Description
Senior Operations Manager owning forecasting, logistics, inventory, and KPI reporting for ALEMI’s handcrafted Italian leather handbag brand. Driving automation and scalable operations across partners, warehouse, and stores.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end demand forecasting and order management with production partners
- Drive new products from setup through launch-ready operational data in relevant systems
- Plan cost-efficient, timely inbound transportation
- Manage stock levels across the warehouse and stores to meet availability targets and avoid out-of-stock situations
- Oversee fulfillment, returns, and other after-sale processes
- Drive automation and quality improvements
- Monitor logistics costs against plan and validate invoices
- Own operations KPI reporting using GetKLAR
- Act as operational partner to Product, Customer Service, Finance, and external partners
- Improve warehouse and logistics processes
- Lead cross-team operations improvement projects
- Ensure reliable packaging material supply across partners and locations
Requirements:
- Several years of experience in operations, supply chain, or logistics management, ideally in fashion, e-commerce, or retail
- Track record of owning a function end-to-end, including inventory planning, demand forecasting, and cost/KPI frameworks
- Strong affinity for AI and automation tools, with a genuine drive to make processes more efficient
- Vision and clear understanding of what a state of the art operations set-up and process looks like
- Ambition to strive for excellent and to get better every day
- Hands-on mentality, comfortable executing as well as designing processes
- Experience managing external partners and aligning cross-functional teams
- Comfortable with e-commerce and operations tools, e.g. Shopify, Claude, Notion
- Structured, detail-oriented, and ownership-driven working style
- Fluent in English and German; Italian is a plus
- Full-time (100%), based in or around Munich (office option in Munich), but remote-first way of working
