Job Description
Senior philanthropy manager cultivating major-donor relationships for Compassion UK & Ireland. Securing transformational gifts that release children from poverty in Jesus’ name.
Responsibilities:
- Build and grow relationships with major supporters and prospective philanthropists
- Create and deliver tailored engagement plans that deepen supporter partnerships and inspire generosity
- Identify opportunities for significant gifts and strategic donor engagement
- Collaborate across Compassion UK & Ireland to connect supporters with meaningful ministry opportunities
- Help secure income enabling more children to be released from poverty in Jesus’ name
- Develop and steward significant donor relationships
- Help supporters engage deeply with Compassion’s mission and understand the impact of their generosity
- Use relationship management, strategic planning and inspiring communication to cultivate long-term partnerships
Requirements:
- Experience managing and developing significant donor or philanthropic relationships
- Track record of building trust and influencing others through strong relationship management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to think strategically while delivering excellent supporter experiences
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Able and willing to travel regularly
- Travel primarily focused on the South and South-East of England, with possible travel elsewhere in the UK
- Personally committed to the Christian faith
- Must have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship
